Content has become the king in the SEO-driven Internet world and it has proved that content is the key criteria which determines your visibility.

Let us first admit that there can never be a stringent guideline as the objective of content development varies quiet a lot. We have tried to outline some generic rules, which can be applied to SEO-driven content.

Structure: 3 to 4 paragraphs in the vicinity of 200 to 220 words until otherwise stated

Title should be mostly abstract but try to embed the keywords

The first paragraph should narrate the objective clearly. The best way is to raise the inquisitiveness of the reader. So, there can be some fillers and real life simulation to raise the interest

The 2nd & 3rd should highlight the utility/ benefits/ attractions. As an example, if it is a travel spot, these paragraphs should highlight the key attractions of the place; had it been a Sony music system, it should highlight why this is better than the previous version.

The last paragraph must highlight the conclusion, which should force the reader to take your opinion. Like, Why to wait? Tie up your shoelace to join the biggest community; OR Why to miss out the chance of being the leader? Act before it becomes too cold.

It’s better to understand the topic on your own from studying the Internet or other media, then portray in your language. Try to place yourself over there and think what could you do with the product or in the place?

The keywords should be evenly distributed. Never stuff keywords unnecessarily.

Use answers.com for your vocabulary and similar words. Study at least 3 to 4 websites for a particular topic.

Backquote should be used for important statements. Use Bullet, numbers as required

It’s better if you use spell check and grammar check in MS Word. It is advisable to follow the US English, if not stated otherwise.

Contextual advertisements is at its crest in the modern internet regime and most of the website owners and webmasters have preferred to explore the revenue of the website by using Google adsense like contextual link advertisements. The craze has ensured the emergence of many websites whose primary objective is to earn from affiliate marketing.

When the objective is to earn from Google adsene, its better to follow certain guidelines during the development of the website. The fundamental philosophy of any such contextual advertisements is to display advertisements depending upon the relevancy factor of the website.

A proper content will fetch the proper relevant advertisements from the advertisers or sponsors, which are routed through the advertising engines.

So, you can easily expect the advertisement of a search engine optimization company or individual, if your website addresses at the issues of search engines or web solutions, as the ultimate goal of any web solution is to get a proper rank in the search engine result pages by a continuous efforts for optimizing the website for search engines.

It is not only the content, the Meta tags and the other tags like H1, H2, IMG, ALT, TITLE need to be also properly tuned or optimized. Let us take and example, the image name web-crest is much more preferred than header1.

An ALT tag should be indicative enough about the purpose of the image.

If a gif image of a college building is displayed, the ALT tags like college-building or college-premises are much more meaningful than img1 or img2.

Remember, when search engine sends its crawlers and spiders to your website host for a routine visit, it never shows the luxury of ignoring any such tags, rather it sends them to the database of the search engine for a better comprehension.

When Google adsense tries to find the keywords for publishing relevant advertisements, they also take a note of all such tags. Never forget that the bold words in your web page also carries significance while determining the relevancy factors.

Last but not the least, whenever you are talking of keywords and content, there should be a proper match. It should NOT happen that your content aims at an educational endeavor and your keywords become adult games. Such conflicts also confuse Google Adsense and then you might find irrelevant and unnecessary advertisements, which might even annoy your visitor.
